Hello MCA Friends!

Let’s use this space to share resources to support diversity, enrichment and inclusion in our classrooms, personal and professional lives.

A great video about the value of authenticity from Shawon Jackson (one of JD Schramm’s students and his LOWkey Notes presentation)

Prof. Lundblad was speaking early in the covid-crisis about economics and community, and I’m sure his sentiments carry into these challenges of diversity, enrichment and inclusion we are all facing with renewed vigor. In addition to the meme at left, and the entirely of the article (scroll to “Impact on Global Economy” section here), Chris wrote

“Rather than being cynical, older folks – trust the authenticity of our younger generations in America today – trust their ability to deliver. They are your legacy and they can do this.”

Matt Abrahams (Stanford) echoes his colleague Briar Goldberg’s sentiment that “We all have a role to play in the fight for equality” and extends Briar’s amazing offer to share and partner on expanding this special speech file that includes many of examples of Black, women and minority communicators demonstrating the theories [we all] teach. To again quote Briar, I “hope that this can be a living document that we all add to and draw from.” A real gift. Email Matt.
